Republican Party is for the Rich Only

I recently heard this statement made and I think that it is a very wrong statement. The party is not for the rich only because there are plenty of people that are not rich and they are part of the Republican party. There are plenty of rich people that are part of the Democratic party. Did you know that Obama got much of his campaign money from business associations? Business leaders do not always go with the Republican Party. Labor Unions do not always donate to the Democrats, in fact they do donate to Republicans too.

The reason why people join certain parties is because that party is closer in ideology with them. The party agrees with their ideology, maybe not all the time, but most of the time. So I think that people need to really think about what they say. Democrats have rich people in it too. Poor people are part of the Republican party as well, just not a lot.

Valley Metro

So lately I have been on facebook ranting and raving about Valley Metro. Valley Metro is the bus system in the state of Arizona (for all of my readers abroad and that are not local) I think that they are taking advantage of the people in Arizona. They think that they can just raise prices and cut bus routes short knowing that many of the Metro-Phoenix citizens (they are not the majority) are not going to have a way to work or school. I have to rely on this inefficient bus system to get to school and work. I cannot afford a car so I need to take the bus.

Another group of people that they are taking advantage of is the bus workers. The working conditions suck, the benefits suck, and the wages suck. GET IT TOGETHER!! So not only is the system inefficient and expensive right now, the bus workers are going on strike. I had to find alternate transportation for work this weekend and possibly for this school week if they do not get it together. This is truly a no win situation for Arizonans because after a deal gets made between the union and Valley Metro they plan on cutting bus routes and raising the fare to ride the bus. Honestly there are three solutions to this ordeal:

  1. Arizona takes full ownership of Valley Metro and makes the bus system efficient and work with the unions
  2. The federal government or car companies find a way to make cars more affordable to Arizonans
  3. Another company begins competing for riders against the Valley Metro system

We need a solution and fast because everyone in Phoenix and Surrounding areas are going to be affected. It is going to affect Arizonans from the bottom to the top.

If they do decide to up the prices and decrease the efficiency of the program I will boycott Valley Metro and hope that there profits go down low. Hope that they will suffer and they will change their ways. This will effect people trying to go to work, but hopefully this will change something in the system and make it right!! I am so sick of this, I will attempt to hold a boycott against this company and hope for some change

Syrian Violence

Syria is in turmoil. Thousands of people are opposing President Bashar al-Assad. Less than a thousand have died (Syria will not be completely honest about it). However, I want to say that the United States should do something about it or other nations. There is a problem and it is AL-Qaeda and the Jordianian Muslim Brotherhood. They support the uprising and that is bad because we are have an issue with Al-Qaeda, right now I do not know of the relation with the Muslim Brotherhood (might not be good because of Egypt). Anyways, Al-Qaeda totally supports the sectarian violence in Syria. That surprises me because they have not been the most humane or freedom of choice kind of type. I believe that the US should do something, but i do not know what it is yet. They need to see why Al-Qaeda supports it, what are the benefits for them.

Syria's president needs to begin making compromises because pretty soon a powerful nation might just invade and do something about his tactics against his people. He shouldn't even be called a president, he should be called a dictator.

Message: Russia and China you have a terrible history with using violence on your people to get them to shut up. Of course you support Syria and you will do it. You do not want a tribunal to be held against President al-Assad because people would begin to question the methods both of you have used in the past. You do not make your country look any better by opposing any sort of resolution to deal with this issue.

I guess the US might have to try to see if it can be solved diplomatically through peace talks, but who knows if that is going to work.

Iran

For a few years I have been saying that Iran is going to get in some kind of trouble with their energy development. President Bush even knew that there was an issue with them developing nuclear energy because we do not know what are their real reasons for development. They could be developing nuclear weapons or they could be using it for energy purposes. We will not know until they let inspectors in and they do want even to do that. If they are so afraid of inspectors, it does make you question their motives.

On the other hand, Israel is using this to attack Iran in which they have always wanted to and now they have a window of opportunity. Israel now wants to start airstrikes on the site where this so-called "energy development" is going on. Israel has been wanting to go after Iran for awhile and I am not surprised by them taking this opportunity to strike. Iran has made threats at Israel in the past, but they both have been making threats. It is a war that was bound to happen and now the time has come from them to duke it out.

United States will not participate unless Iran decides to mine the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. needs to send sweepers in. Also another possibility is if Iran begins to attack Israel and they end up going on the defensive then we might have some obligation to assist depending on the treaty standards.

We will see what happens, but I honestly believe Israel will attack.

France Passed the Law Dealing with the Armenian Genocide

Let me say this Turkey needs to own up to what they have done a century ago. However, my interpretation of this comes from my perspective. Here in America if we made it a crime to deny anything that the government wants us to accept it would be deemed unconstitutional. France is different then America and they do not have the same protections as we do. On the other hand, France did direct this legislation towards Turkey and now they are going to be hurt by the sanctions that are going to be put into place and the other sanctions that will come into play in the future. Turkey needs to acknowledge that what they did was wrong.

France passed a law making it a crime to deny the Armenian Genocide. If you do then you are to spend up to a year in jail and pay 45,000 fine. That figure I did not convert to Euros. That is more then getting caught drunk driving.

You know I knew that this was going to happen that they would pass the law. However, this goes against everything the French have stood for in recent years. They passed the Declaration of Human Rights in the UN. There they protect freedom of speech in the declaration. They are violating the rights of free speech by not allowing anyone that believes it did not happen. Some are never going to believe. Many people still think the Holocaust did not happen even though their are thousands of documents that prove it had happened. Example, President Ahmadinejad of Iran he does not believe it happened.

I do think that Turkey needs to stop denying it. However, I think that they choose to forget about it because they see it as a terrible time in history. They choose to forget, they just do not want to deal with it. I think it is partially because many of them were given the stolen goods of the Armenians when they were deported from their towns. I think they feel that the earlier generations of the whole society was responsible and they just do not want to deal with it.

I do think that they need to own up to it. On the other hand, France needs to stop thinking that they are better then everyone because they have plenty of history where they killed massive amounts of people. For instance, in the French Revolution, they executed many of the aristocrats. They also led a war against the Protestants and the Protestants led a war too. The Crusades were pretty bad to, they had their own jihad against people of the Islamic Faith.

France is not totally innocent nor is the United States. I am not a representative of the US and I am not arguing for the US. I am just an individual who thinks that France has got some nerve to place judgment and forgo the freedom of speech just so they can make a statement. By making this law you are likely going to inhibit recognition and you are going to make it bad for the Armenians again. You are not making it any easier on both sides of the issue.

Another thing, France where were you when the genocide happened? You had the opportunity to help the Armenians, but you chose to ignore it. You could have invaded the Ottoman Empire and helped the Armenians. You could have influenced trials to be held and make them stick when it came time to deal with Turkey after the end of the war. The only country that really tried to help was England. You could have helped, but you ignored it just like the United States did. You could have told Turkey that part of their defeat was that they will have to punish those that hurt the Armenians.

You did nothing before, why are you trying to now? Do you feel that you are responsible for the Genocide because you did nothing before?

Iranian Journalists

http://en.irangreenvoice.com/article/2011/dec/20/3422

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jan/18/three-iranian-journalists-arrested

http://en.irangreenvoice.com/article/2011/aug/18/3245

I do not think that the Iran will ever stop arresting its journalists in the country. Goodness they are cracking down on freedom of the press in the country. Usually it is to stop people from broadcasting all the evil that is happening in the country. They keep arresting people, that is what happens in an authoritarian government.

They love to suppress the people because if they know that it gets out what they are doing to the people then they will need to be held accountable. In Iran they torture people and whip people in the jails. I think that something needs to be done about Iran. The people can leave the country if they want, but sometimes it is hard to get out of the country. Especially, if they want to keep watch of you to make sure that you do not try to get them in international trouble.

Most of the journalists that get arrested is because they are reformists and/or they are speaking out against the atrocities of the police and the government.

I pray that the people continue to battle it out with the government and they do not give up. The articles that I have provided you state what is going on in Iran right now. They arrest the most journalists in the world. They are trying to crackdown on journalists because of speaking out against the government. Also they are arresting human rights lawyers. They usually defend the journalists in कोर्ट
