No Military Invasion of Syria

Everyone knows that Obama is now adding military option against Syria if the conflict does not resolve or President Assad does not step down.

President Obama is not thinking about this and he is acting very similar to President Bush.  Many of you will think that this is not similar to President Bush invading Iraq, but it is.

I do not think that we have the right to intervene into the Civil War of another nation.  Anyways, if we help these rebels (militarily( who is to say they will not turn on us once like many of Shiite Muslims in Iraq.  However, not all of them have turned on us, but definitely the radical side of them that has a similar outlook to the rulers of Iran.  President Obama and Democrats in the end did not support the invasion of Iraq and criticize Bush for the war.  However, they all think that it is okay to invade Syria.

The situation in Syria is worse then the one in Iraq in 2003.  The reasons why:
  1. It is a Civil War between a group of people (rebels) and the government.  The rebels are tired of the government they view as tyrannical.  They say they want more rights, but who knows it could be like Egypt in the future where it actually gets more strict, but under Sunni rule.
  2. Yes, the conflict may be causing mass amounts of refugees, but in what war has there been no refugees?  Yes, countries like Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and other countries are having problems with refugees, but that is nothing new when it comes to war.  Those people are the ones that deserve to have food and aid.  On the other hand, the rebels are violent and once again we do not know if they will turn on us once they have won the war.
  3. Russia and China have valuable reasons for other countries not to invade into the Syrian conflict and they could pose big problems to the U.S. if we decide to invade.  Furthermore, Russian troops (minimal) are already on ground in Syria, helping President Assad gain control over Syria again. If we invade to help the rebels we will be fighting a proxy war with the Russian military.  That will make relations with the Russians even worse.  I guess we could use Syria as a means of getting back in China for causing that conflict with Japan, but still not wise to invade.
Once again are dear President and Congress is going to refuse to listen to the American people.  He refused to listen on the Healthcare Bill and now he is not going to listen to the American people again.  We should stay out of it all together and not make the decision to join a side.  Right now no one knows who is the lesser of two evils. In the end, it looks like Obama wants to support rebels who eat soldiers hearts to send a message.

The Election Goes to Obama, Now Back to Reality

So I am happy that the election is finally over and buisness will resume soon.  So he won the Electoral Vote and barely lost the popular vote.  I bet that this win is a good and bad thing for him.  Good that he won the reelection, but now he has to start listening to the people and working with the House Republicans and encouraging Senator Reid to work with the House.  He now knows that he has to work a little harder for Americans to see him as favorable.

One thing is that he has to stop playing the blame game, the blame game needs to stop.  He needs to stop blaming Bush and Republicans because everyone is to blame for the way things are, including himself.  Example, the budget was not passed because Reid refused to put it on the floor for discussion and vote.  Boehner and Obama worked together to try to work out some kind of agreement and they did, but Reid refused to cooperate.

Another issue is Iran, we have to decide to do something about them because the after January you can expect Israel to attack.  If Israel attacks and Iran upholds its promise to attack American bases an interests, we are going to be in a war, whether we like it or not.  He has to find some way to deal with them and stop the automatic cuts on defense which is going to harm the economy and hurt our ability to brace ourselves for war.

Japan and China, he better get some diplomatic talks going, so those two do not get into it.

However, the main issue is that we need to start uniting this country.  We need to get both sides to work together.  Otherwise, this country will be in the crap hole because we could not compromise.  I apologize for attacking Harry Reid so much, but if you want to know he has been very uncooperative. At least to some degree Obama is willing to work across the aisle in a limited fashion.

Anti-American Protests across the Middle East and Parts of Africa

I am not at all surprised at the amount of protesting happening across the Middle East and parts of Africa.  These are extremists and they do not represent the majority of the people in their nations (maybe a couple).  They are not going to stop and there is going to be no way to appease them.  Some of the governments are not going to help the US out and we should not expect them to.  The reason we should not expect them to is simple, its because they care more about the attacks on their religion then anything else.

A.M.Ahad/AP
However, I hate the fact that our Americans have to suffer abroad because of stupid Americans here, that made the video.  Do they realize the lives that are at stake?  I bet they are not protesting the embassies strictly because of that, I bet some of them are using it as an excuse so they could kill some Americans.  However, the point is that I am not surprised that this has happened.  We have embassies located in countries that one month support America and another month oppose America.

Another issue is Iranian protests against America.  Remember we have to take those protests with a grain of salt.  Those people are in a midst of turmoil themselves.  Iranian media only wants to show us the parts that they feel are fine.  The Iranians are upset with their government and are trying to find ways to protest and defy the government.  Ayatollah Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are doing a very fine job in suppressing them because they are worried that they will go into civil war like Syria.

I am appalled at the fact that Americans lives have been taken, but then again that is part of reality.  All I want to conclude with is that these protests are going to happen again and again. There are countries and groups of people that do not like America and the Americans inside and we have to learn to cope with that.  On the other hand, we cannot let them push us around and apologizing to them for us being Americans is not right.

Side note: Maybe the next time America decides to help a group against their government, we should have stipulations for after they win and establish a new government.  On the other hand, just not help.

Election 2012 and Post -Election

So I just realized that I have not posted on this blog since June.  I have been a bit preoccupied with work, school, and Iran.

This photo combo shows President Obama in Chapel Hill, N.C. on April 24, and Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on April 18, in Charlotte, N.C.
AP
I have decided that I am going to blog about this lovely thing called the Election of 2012.  Contenders Romney vs. Obama.  This election is extremely crucial because we will get an idea of how Americans feel about dear President Obama.  Also we will see how Romney is going to do in the election as well.  I think that both of the candidates have a lot of schmoozing to do to the American public.  They have to do a lot of schmoozing because the American people are upset and they are sick of the way things are going with the country (I talk as if I am an outsider).  I know that I am one unhappy American to some degree and I will let you know why in a minute.  Romney has to be able to persuade women, minorities, and to some degree religious minorities to vote for him.  Obama really just needs to let the people know that he is going to fulfill his promises if he is elected.

A part of me is pessimistic and believes that Obama will win, maybe not easily.  So you now see my bias and that is okay.  All I got to say that if Obama wins I hope that he will cooperate a little more with the opposing party and they do the same.  Romney, now if he gets elected I believe that he will have the ability to work with the Democrats.  I say this because people forget that he is a bit more liberal the most Republicans.  For instance, the healthcare bill that got passed for the nation actually used ideas from the one that he help make in Massachusetts.  He worked with the Democrats in his state and I believe that he could do it if he were to win.

Okay so now onto the other part of this post, Post-election.

So there are key issues that Obama or Romney are going to have to deal with.
Lovely Iran

This is important because Iran is getting pretty brave with this whole mining the strait and what not.  If they do mine the strait (which is international waters) that is considered an act of war, no matter what reason they do it for.  That means that the UN is going to have to do something about it or a coalition of countries are going to need to do something about it.

Lovely Israel

Now Israel, I think that they are going to attack Iran, but I still hope negotiations will work.  However, the thought of Iran with nukes or nuclear power is still risky.

The Economy

Yes that issue does still exist and it will for awhile.  The economy needs to pick up.  I am down for bringing jobs back to America, but remember things will be a bit more pricier because the objects are made in America.  So you better buy them or the jobs will go back to another country where there is cheap labor.

Issue of Polarization between the Conservatives an the Liberals

This is a big one because are wonderful Congress and the President need to work together.  Both sides need to understand that you are not going to get all that you want and the opposition is not going to let you get everything you want.  Think about life, you will never get everything you want, that is reality.  However, it is not just their fault for the lack of compromise.  It is the American public because they are divided so Congress is divided.  The American public needs to also learn that they are not going to get everything they want, a reality that needs to be recognized.  Politicians in Congress are so worried about getting re-elected that they do not want to compromise on the big issues and this is hurting America. Stop making politics a career, if you do not get re-elected then at least you will remember that you did your job and your constituents will see that the decision was a good or bad one in the future.

Compromise and a better economy is going to be key to sustaining this country.  Our dear Founding Fathers knew that factions were going to be a problem and it is a very big problem now.

I had a little fun with pics, there are a lot of battles.

Taliban Cracks Me Up at the Moment

 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/22/afghanistan-war-taliban-p_n_1537224.html

A quote from the article:
"Nobody can trust their statements and lies," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in an e-mail to the media on Tuesday, a day after the two-day summit closed in Chicago. "They are claiming that everything is fine in Afghanistan, which is far from the reality."

Before I get to the quote that I have took from the article, I will summarize the article. The article is about the slow withdrawal of NATO forces in Afghanistan.  NATO will have the troops no longer operating in combat mode after 2014, but will be training the military and operating there.  Pakistan and Afghanistan is happy that NATO will continue to try to stabilize the country and prevent another Taliban and Al-Qaeda take over and not do a rush job of leaving Afghanistan to fend for itself.  Iran is the only one that is weary because they do not want the US and NATO forces to be leaving a big military in the middle east and I think that they are scared that the US might attempt to invade Iran or support Israel if  a war was to happen.

So back to the lovely quote from the Taliban. The Taliban to me it seems like they are questioning why NATO has decided to leave.  Now would they not want NATO to leave so they can take over the country.  NATO is in the country because of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, they are the problem.  NATO was used to invade Afghanistan because one of the terrorists organizations decided to attack the US and according to the alliance they had to invade to stop the Taliban.  Taliban and Al-Qaeda were in control of the government after the Soviets left and then when the US and NATO forces came into the country they lost control of Afghanistan.

The reason things are unstable is because an international terrorist organization was running Afghanistan and NATO forces came in and splintered the terrorist groups.

I think it is funny that he thinks the country is unstable and things are not all right and there is no reason for NATO troops to leave, but you are the one that is attacking the Afghan military and government preventing NATO from leaving. IF things are so unstable then work on a peace deal with the Afghan government

New Blog: Dedicated to Iran

I have decided that it is time for a new blog and it is going to be dedicated to the current affairs in Iran.  I have decided to do it because I am highly interested in that country and the current politics of Iran.  I think that it is important for Americans to pay attention to what happens in Iran because they are important to global politics.  They could affect everything in the world and most Americans will not pay attention to that. Ahmadinejad is a tyrant and he deserves to go down before he kills anymore people and also Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I am not saying that America should do something, but it is good to pay attention to what happens because it could affect the middle east. I do not vote on doing anything to Iran because we need to focus on our problems first and then worry about the world.  The best thing that are country leaders can do is publicly disapprove of what is going in Iran as well as Syria. Iran has the second highest arrest rates of journalists, they clearly do not want the world to know what they are doing to their people.

So this current blog is still going to be current, but my new one is going to be dedicated to Iran!

Iran

For a few years I have been saying that Iran is going to get in some kind of trouble with their energy development. President Bush even knew that there was an issue with them developing nuclear energy because we do not know what are their real reasons for development. They could be developing nuclear weapons or they could be using it for energy purposes. We will not know until they let inspectors in and they do want even to do that. If they are so afraid of inspectors, it does make you question their motives.

On the other hand, Israel is using this to attack Iran in which they have always wanted to and now they have a window of opportunity. Israel now wants to start airstrikes on the site where this so-called "energy development" is going on. Israel has been wanting to go after Iran for awhile and I am not surprised by them taking this opportunity to strike. Iran has made threats at Israel in the past, but they both have been making threats. It is a war that was bound to happen and now the time has come from them to duke it out.

United States will not participate unless Iran decides to mine the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. needs to send sweepers in. Also another possibility is if Iran begins to attack Israel and they end up going on the defensive then we might have some obligation to assist depending on the treaty standards.

We will see what happens, but I honestly believe Israel will attack.

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani Execution

Iran has been known to make false reports on why someone has been arrested. It happens all the time there. This Pastor is being executed because he refuses to give up his Christian faith and they think that he was trying to convert Muslims. However, Iran is saying that he raped someone and committed extortion. In which we know is false.

Some of you may not know how Iran operates. Well, I will let you know. They arrest hundreds of people a year on false charges. Now to get them to admit to the false charges and sign a document they torture them until they comply. They prefer to whip them, beat them, and sometimes not feed them. They like to make sure that they are alive. Then after they get the false confession, they usually kill them silently. Sometimes, the exec
ution is public if they are high crimes and they make sure that people will see what will happen to them if they do not comply to the rules.

This Pastor has been wronged. Now I have never believed that Iran is trying to give them more rights and freedoms. NO, they will not. I would like to believe that they will, but it is not going to happen. One of the reasons it is not going to happen is because there police enforce rules that they feel like enforcing that day or week. One week they will allow women to have slightly heavy make up and than the next week they will get arrested and receive lashes for their punishment.

I honestly think that as Americans and people across the world need to take Iran's promises with a grain of salt. They are not going to fulfill those promises until someone takes the power from Aytollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, Morteza Bakhtiari (Minister of Justice), and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

I pray for his family and the many others that have been harmed by Iran's government. Many people die each year because of the injustice that goes on there. So many people try to leave that country every year because of what goes on. Fellow Christians, we need to keep fighting for what we believe in, no matter what harm comes to us. This Pastor is and was doing his duty for God and we just need to keep fighting.
