Taliban Cracks Me Up at the Moment

 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/22/afghanistan-war-taliban-p_n_1537224.html

A quote from the article:
"Nobody can trust their statements and lies," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in an e-mail to the media on Tuesday, a day after the two-day summit closed in Chicago. "They are claiming that everything is fine in Afghanistan, which is far from the reality."

Before I get to the quote that I have took from the article, I will summarize the article. The article is about the slow withdrawal of NATO forces in Afghanistan.  NATO will have the troops no longer operating in combat mode after 2014, but will be training the military and operating there.  Pakistan and Afghanistan is happy that NATO will continue to try to stabilize the country and prevent another Taliban and Al-Qaeda take over and not do a rush job of leaving Afghanistan to fend for itself.  Iran is the only one that is weary because they do not want the US and NATO forces to be leaving a big military in the middle east and I think that they are scared that the US might attempt to invade Iran or support Israel if  a war was to happen.

So back to the lovely quote from the Taliban. The Taliban to me it seems like they are questioning why NATO has decided to leave.  Now would they not want NATO to leave so they can take over the country.  NATO is in the country because of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, they are the problem.  NATO was used to invade Afghanistan because one of the terrorists organizations decided to attack the US and according to the alliance they had to invade to stop the Taliban.  Taliban and Al-Qaeda were in control of the government after the Soviets left and then when the US and NATO forces came into the country they lost control of Afghanistan.

The reason things are unstable is because an international terrorist organization was running Afghanistan and NATO forces came in and splintered the terrorist groups.

I think it is funny that he thinks the country is unstable and things are not all right and there is no reason for NATO troops to leave, but you are the one that is attacking the Afghan military and government preventing NATO from leaving. IF things are so unstable then work on a peace deal with the Afghan government

Homosexuals

I am honestly really sick about hearing people complaining about gay rights.  Homosexuals have been around for centuries and now they are being publicly accepted into society (for the most part).  So stop being surprised at the fact that they want more rights and that they want the same rights as a married couple. Obviously, the issue is never going to go away it is going to be another Roe v. Wade, the decision has been made yet there is still argument.  There is nothing that we can do to change the decisions that have been made.  Yes gay rights have not been decided on, but I am not going to be surprised if they Supreme Court were to rule them to have the same rights because if they allowed abortion to stand, what is going to stop them from preventing people to get married.  Yes, the Supreme Court is conservative, but that does not mean that they will not look at the Constitution and allow them to have those rights.

All I am saying is that eventually they will get the rights that they want and desire.  So we are going to have to learn to accept the changes.  I am a Christian, but this is one of those issues that we will not be able to stop from coming to a reality.  I think that they do deserve the benefits of a married couple, but maybe it should be called a Civil Union and make it mandatory that other states acknowledge the union like it demands them in the Constitution.  Get rid of DOMA.

Gay Marriage

The dear politicians today think that gay marriage is a key issue during this election.  So lets talk about it.  I think that my fellow Christians need to recognize that in this day in age homosexuals are more open about their sexuality because there is greater acceptance.  There are churches and synagogues that appeal directly to homosexuals.  I think that as a whole Christians are going to have to get over the fact that there are going to be homosexuals and they are going to want to have the same privileges of getting married or have the same the rights as a married couple (civil union).  Even my own grandparents and my grandpa is a pastor suggested that civil unions and benefits should be given to them.  My sect of Christianity has been more open than other sects.

Personally, I do not feel all to happy about gay marriage and I PERSONALLY do not support it. However, I am not going to get all stressed out if it passes nor join the protests against it because it is not my place to tell someone who they can get married to.  They could go do what they want and be who they want to be, so let them.  God tell us to love everyone for who they are and in the New Testament having faith in God is very important and if you have faith in Him you will go to heaven. If homosexuals would go to hell for being gay than I would go to hell for swearing or drinking too much on nights that I go out.

So my personal belief is that gay marriage is wrong, but who am I to tell someone who should they should marry.

Also gay marriage is not something for the federal government to decide, maybe it is the states decision to decide.  Who knows the Supreme Court decided in the social issue of abortion and porn so eventually they will make a decision on gay marriage.  The federal government taking on social issues is a totally different issue.

New Blog: Dedicated to Iran

I have decided that it is time for a new blog and it is going to be dedicated to the current affairs in Iran.  I have decided to do it because I am highly interested in that country and the current politics of Iran.  I think that it is important for Americans to pay attention to what happens in Iran because they are important to global politics.  They could affect everything in the world and most Americans will not pay attention to that. Ahmadinejad is a tyrant and he deserves to go down before he kills anymore people and also Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I am not saying that America should do something, but it is good to pay attention to what happens because it could affect the middle east. I do not vote on doing anything to Iran because we need to focus on our problems first and then worry about the world.  The best thing that are country leaders can do is publicly disapprove of what is going in Iran as well as Syria. Iran has the second highest arrest rates of journalists, they clearly do not want the world to know what they are doing to their people.

So this current blog is still going to be current, but my new one is going to be dedicated to Iran!
