$15 per hour is Too High

There are four problems with raising minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour.  One problem is that cost of living is going to skyrocket because businesses are going to have to up the prices in order to compensate for paying people more money.  Two, unemployment is going to be higher because businesses are going to have to cut people to pay more money for those that are left behind.  Three, taxes are going to have to go up in order to pay for the those that are on welfare, hud housing, food stamps, and other forms of assistance.  Four, ultimately we will enter a Great Depression because stocks are going to drop, prices are going to be expensive, and a lot of homeless on the streets. Many people think about only immediate benefits and not the long term consequences.  It seems like our Congress for once knows that raising minimum wage is going to hurt the economy.  However, the problem is the people and the lack of education they have on the whole situation.

There is one benefit, immediate happiness. Then it goes downhill after that, if Congress were to pass it then they will be the stupidest people on earth.

I think that in our education system we should basic economics be taught to children in high school.  Maybe that will help save this country.

People will Find a Way to Obtain a Firearm

Hello, I know that bringing up guns again is old news.  However, I am getting my Master's in Criminal Justice and in a book I am reading for my class I came across a quote, "It found that firearm violence was strongly correlated with economic inequality, even when poverty and access to firearms were controlled (Vold, 2010, p. 105).  What this quote is saying that homicide for economic gain and the use of firearms is still prevalent.

What I got from this quote is that no matter how much regulation is put into firearm sales, a person that intends to do harm will find a way and means to do so.  You might see a spike in poisoning, knifing, or bludgeoning, but guns will still be used as the primary object for killing.  Do you want to know why police look at families and friends during a murder investigation?  Well, because it is usually someone that they know.  Stranger homicides are less frequent.  For example, say a daughter wants to kill her mother because her mother disapproves of her boyfriend.  To make the murder less personal and messy she is likely going to use a gun.  Then probably make it look like it was a robbery.

Politically and socially people want to get rid of the rights to carry firearms, but it is usually those that cannot obtain a weapon legally that become in possession of a firearm and use it to commit a crime.

Socialism Wouldn't Work for United States

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/07/switzerland_0_n_4038031.html

Read the article above this line and I love peoples comments.  People say the U.S. should take a hint and that Socialism works.  However, socialism only works for European Countries and those in other countries.

Socialism would not work in the U.S. because our Constitution is incompatible.  Our constitution was designed not to have equal endings for all, but it was designed to make your life the way you want it to be.  That has innovation all over it, but that does not mean that everyone is going to take advantage or find the opportunities.

I went to a school that was in the middle- to low-income areas and I saw many people that did not take advantage of the education that was given.  We had AP classes for children to enroll in to challenge themselves. There were programs to prepare for college. Although all those opportunities were given many people decided that hanging out with friends, ditching school was better, getting into fights, and not caring about their personal health.

Here in America we decide what we want to do in life.  We have to find the opportunities, they do not just come to us.  We have to put in work in order to find the opportunities and succeed in what we do. Our Founders learned that government dependency was not good because they have the right to control you and take your life away.

Socialistic countries have a tight hold on their people when it comes to personal freedom and rights.  Why else do you think when they protest they through Molotov cocktails into buildings and get buck wild.  They know that is the only way someone might listen to them.

Let's Have Fun with SIngle Quotes

I have found a various of single quotes that are either hilarious or enlightening.  I sometimes get jealous of those that are in a relationship, but then whenever I have an opportunity I run.  I realize that may not like being committed, I may just want to cuddle with someone, or I like to be alone.  I have yet to figure that out.  So here I present some of my favorite single quotes:

“The trouble is not that I am single and likely to stay single, but that I am lonely and likely to stay lonely.”
Charlotte Brontë

“I like being single, I'm always there when I need me.”
― Art Leo

“What does an introvert do when he's left alone? He stays alone.”
Jenni Ferrari-Adler, Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant : Confessions of Cooking for One and Dining Alone

“A busy, vibrant, goal-oriented woman is so much more attractive than a woman who waits around for a man to validate her existence.”
Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

“I think we are going to have to love ourselves. Fuck.”
Liz Tuccillo, How to Be Single

“Without a doubt... the worst part of being a single woman was having to take care of your own car.”
Lisa Kleypas, Rainshadow Road

“You don't have to be part of a couple to be happy, you know.”
Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, Alice Alone

“If you continue to entertain "boys", don't be upset when you can't find a "man".”
Stephan Labossiere

“Love...who needed love? As long as she had her books and her friends and an occasional hookup, she was perfectly content.”
Lauren Conrad, L.A. Candy

“Single life is the best life until you get hit by lonely nights.”
Jonathan Anthony Burkett

“As a self described idealistic I never consider myself as single. I like to say that I’m in between romances at the moment.”
Carl Henegan

I was always an unusual girl.
My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean.”
Lana Del Rey

“She didn't want to have anything to do with the party. She was tired of feeling like she didn't fit in, but she didn't want to go home, either, because she was a tired of being lonely and she was a little drunk.”
Candace Bushnell

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single girl in possession of her right mind must be in want of a decent man.”
Alexandra Potter, Me and Mr. Darcy

“The lonely people have taught me, that I am not alone.”
Anthony Liccione

I was quoted in this article

I present this link right here to the article I was quoted in: http://www.statepress.com/2013/10/02/asu-community-reacts-to-affordable-care-act/

Yes it does come off that I am unbiased, but I definitely do not support the law.  I do think that dealing with the uninsured went the wrong way.  The Dems did have good intentions, but it was wrong in so many ways.  The law is about as big as the Bible and that is wrong.  Furthermore, like I said in previous blogs they should have let the state develop their own methods.

I Don't Think Bill Pascrell Has Got His Facts Straight

Here is the link:  http://foxnewsinsider.com/2013/10/04/cut-crap-hannity-takes-democrat-bill-pascrell-over-obamacare-perks-congress

Bill Pascrell Democrat of New Jersey claims that all Americans signed up for Obamacare and that a majority of Americans support Obamacare.  Where the hell did he get his facts?  We were forced to sign up because they completely disregarded the Americans point of view.  Americans did not agree with this bill and that is why Democrats lost their seats in the House and Senate.  They chose to lose their seats by not listening to the American people.
They get a 72%  subsidy which is unfair to the American people because it is our tax dollars being used for them.  I am happy that it was reported that the some Democrats and Republicans opted out of the subsidy.
Furthermore, Bill Pascrell thinks that Republicans are waving the white flag for the poor and the unions.  However, that is not the case they just listen to what the people want.  In some ways he is right because the government would not have gotten this big if it was not for Republicans giving up.  Now the people are suffering, this government shutdown is proof of it.  The 1995 shutdown was proof of the Democrats having control of Congress for more than 40 years.  They spent too much money and now they are suffering.
In conclusion, Bill Pascrell was not telling the truth, he has no right to speak for the American people.  The American people did not want this because they do not believe that the feds can handle the workload.  They cannot, they are slow.  States should have been given the power and the money to initialize healthcare for those that cannot be covered and they are quicker at providing service and it will be cheaper.  Arizona is a perfect example of AHCCCS working.  The Native American Health Care service is a perfect indicator of how the feds are going to run the program and that is slow. I have a friend that says she has to wait a long time to get service.

Round of Applause to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (sarcastically)

http://www.kpho.com/story/23585295/komen-wont-accept-donation-from-topless-show

Today I am presenting you with an urgent message from our dear friends of the Susan G. Komen foundation:

They are rejecting money from a topless show because they do not want to associate with businesses that sexualize women. The choices, help dying women (morality) v. reject whore money to help dying women (morality)?  Oh the conflicts of morals.  Once again like the government they put other values over helping the people.  Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation accepts money from Planned Parenthood, but not moeny from Topless Dancers?

I honestly do not the see the difference. Planned Parenthood began as an organization that was racist against minority populations (and still is) and they promote abortions. Then you have Crazy Girls who made the choice to dance Topless in front of men and women.  I do not really see the big difference because there is always a conflict of morals.

If you are really into helping women, you would accept the money from Crazy Girls.  Since you have refused there are plenty of smaller organizations who will accept the money to help women out.

Here is a link to how much the CEO Nancy Brinker makes annually:

The Most Tyrannical Government Elected

I really hope Americans are beginning to wake up!!!!  I feel like yelling at the American population to wake up and realize that this government does not have our best interests at heart.

First they passed that stupid Healthcare act in which over 50 percent of the population opposed.  Then Obama goes on a rampage with executive orders.  Thankfully, those expire when he leaves office.  In addition, he was really hoping to send over patriot drones over Syria and other lethal weapons to subdue the government. In which, the people do not want at all.  Finally, stupid John Kerry goes on and signs the UN Arms Treaty in which the Senate will revoke. I know that the Senate will revoke this treaty because even Democrats do not want other international representatives dictating the U.S.  Furthermore, they will lose their Senate seats if they support the treaty.  Some had to learn the hard way during the mid-term elections in 2010 when they supported the Healthcare Reform Act.

Obama and his administration clearly have forgotten that they do not have the support of the people from when they entered into office in 2008.  John Kerry is really overstepping and so is Obama.  When are the people going to realize that this government is extremely tyrannical?

Yes there are those that are going to ask themselves well what about former President Bush like with the Patriot Act.  Well Obama and Congress favored continuance of that law. So think about who has got the interests of the American people at heart.  One thing I know for sure it is not the federal government.

Why People Move to Arizona

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/03/31/survey-new-york-california-last-in-personal-freedoms/

My dear Arizonans and the rest of the nation, we now know why we are the state people move to.  The article I posted above exactly explains why so many move to Arizona and other freedom loving states.

I work in retail and when I am ringing up customers I usually will ask them where they came from because I can tell when someone is not a native or long-time inhabitant.  The usual answers I get are California, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois.  Well, I am assuming besides the mild winters that freedom is another way to describe the move to Arizona.

Here in Arizona we have relatively low everything: income tax, gas prices, state taxes, etc.  The only two things that are high is the sales tax and the temperature.  So I can understand why people move here. Furthermore, we are business friendly, gun friendly, and personal freedom friendly.  Pretty much we are a good state to be in unless you are an illegal immigrant or you get caught with a D.U.I.

The point is that people get tired of the government trying to tell them what to do and how to do things.  So they will eventually move to those states that have less regulations regarding their behavior and what not.  Arizona is one of the states that does have a growing population and a growing business population.

Furthermore, people love to retire here because of the beautiful weather.  The only downside to people moving here is their slow driving.

The Most Tryannical Institution is Public Schools

7th grader suspended:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/09/24/7th-grader-suspended-for-playing-with-airsoft-gun-in-own-yard/

High Schooler suspended:

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/09/18/16-year-old-hunter-forgets-knife-in-pocket-at-school-football-game-and-quickly-turns-it-in-but-what-happened-next-has-his-parents-furious/

So in the past week two public schools have suspended children for weapons violations.

The first to be suspended was a teenager who was being responsible and turning in his knife that he forgot was in his pocket.  Despite him being responsible he still got a ten-day suspension. I hope that him and his attorney win the case against the school because he was being responsible by turning in his knife.  He should have been allowed to watch the game and get his knife returned to him at the end of the game.  Yes, I understand the school has absolutely a no weapons policy.

However, I guess public schools are trying to teach children that even if you are responsible you will still be punished.  There is no such thing as praising those that do right anymore.

The second situation is two seventh graders were suspended for playing with an air-soft gun on private property.  Granted they were waiting for the bus, but they decided to play on one of their front-yards with the guns while waiting for the bus.  The school said they were waiting for the bus and they become the property of the school when they begin to wait for the bus.  However, that is not true because they were waiting for the school bus on private property.  They have the right to play with the air-soft guns.

All in all, these schools have gained way too much power. They already try to control the minds of the children and attempt to disable the parents from being the actual authority.  I think that we need to give them less power.  They have no right to suspend a student for trying to do the right thing and they have no right to suspend students for playing on private property with air-soft guns.

Starbucks CEO = Stupid

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/09/18/starbucks-guns-unwelcome-but-not-banned-from-stores/

Hello all, so today I am going to blog about the CEO of Starbucks acting like an arrogant little jerk.  Let me sum up the article on FOX news about this little CEO.  Schultz the CEO, has written a letter to gun owners telling them that guns are unwelcome, but they are not going to ban the guns in the store.  Furthermore, he told them that he does not want a mass shooting taking place in his stores so that is why he claims they are unwelcome.

Well, I think that he is blaming the wrong people because rarely has the accused in massive shootings has had the privilege of owning a gun because they were seen as not fit to carry a gun.  Like the township shooter, the Tucson shooter, and various others.  Why do people feel the need to punish legal gun owners. They are not the problem, the problem is those that come across gun illegally and obtain them to do harm.  Your drug traffickers, gang members and leaders, and those that are mentally unstable.

In the end, IF PEOPLE WANT TO HARM OTHERS THEY WILL FIND ANY NECESSARY MEANS!!!  Guns are not the only weapon of choice if it was then it would be the only weapon of use.  It may be the majority used weapon, but that is because it is less personal and less messy.  We should be happy that mass shootings is a rare thing and that we do not have car bombs.  This world is never going to be perfect, so stop thinking it is if we get rid of gun rights.  Who is going to fight the government when the government becomes tyrannical?  Gun owners will.

Only Difference Between Michael Bloomberg and Bill De Blasio is the Party Title

Mayor Bloomberg is a tyrant and he thinks that he should be a parent figure rather then a Mayor. Telling people what they can eat and drink.  Also telling people how they should get to work because he thinks it is his job.  However, who is to say Bill de Blasio is not going to be the same way. What I am trying to say is that the policies that Mayor Bloomberg was trying to pay are extremely liberal. I hope that this De Blasio character is going to be less socialist then the lovely Bloomberg.  Yes Bloomberg used to a be a Republican, but from his policies he leans towards Socialist Democrat.  He may be even farther left then that, but in time history will tell.  I just hope that this De Blasio character does not turn into a tyrannical prick like Bloomberg.

Colorado Democrats Ousted

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57602365/two-colo-lawmakers-recalled-over-gun-control-support/

I am happy to read the news today because I just learned that two Colorado lawmakers were voted out of office through a special recall election.  The reason they were ousted is because they supported stricter gun-laws that would limit law-abiding gun holders and limit the sales and amounts of ammunition.  This is known as Bloomberg Gun Control Law, similar to his law in New York City.

Anyways, another thing to be happy about is that Bloomberg could not influence the recall election enough so they could stay in office. In which, that is a relief because no one wants a New York City law man controlling other states lawmakers or the legislation that goes through.

I do not know when Bloomberg is ever going to learn his lesson. The lesson is ; First, no one care about what you have to say because are in New York. Second, you have no right to attempt to influence legislation or lawmakers in another state.  Third, more people are going to hate you because you are acting like an arrogant prick.

Bloomberg please focus on your own city and stop trying to control the lives of millions.  It will backlash!

Obama Stop Ignoring the People

This is going to brief because I am tired and I want to go to bed.

Obama and his fellow colleagues are once again making a decision to ignore the American people and go for intervention into Syria.

He claims that it is not going to be like the Iraq War, but I highly doubt that and we will be there for a long time.  I really do think the U.S. needs to take military option off of the table.  Furthermore, a majority of Americans do not want this like the Affordable Health Care Act.  We were warned about presidents becoming tyrannical and Obama is becoming more like that every day.  Issuing executive orders with a high disregard for the people and passing laws that Americans see as unfavorable.

Obama do what you want, but know in the future you will become known as one of the worst Presidents in history if you keep doing what you are doing.

Stop ignoring the people. This election you should have realized that you need to listen to the people and you almost lost this election.

No Military Invasion of Syria

Everyone knows that Obama is now adding military option against Syria if the conflict does not resolve or President Assad does not step down.

President Obama is not thinking about this and he is acting very similar to President Bush.  Many of you will think that this is not similar to President Bush invading Iraq, but it is.

I do not think that we have the right to intervene into the Civil War of another nation.  Anyways, if we help these rebels (militarily( who is to say they will not turn on us once like many of Shiite Muslims in Iraq.  However, not all of them have turned on us, but definitely the radical side of them that has a similar outlook to the rulers of Iran.  President Obama and Democrats in the end did not support the invasion of Iraq and criticize Bush for the war.  However, they all think that it is okay to invade Syria.

The situation in Syria is worse then the one in Iraq in 2003.  The reasons why:
  1. It is a Civil War between a group of people (rebels) and the government.  The rebels are tired of the government they view as tyrannical.  They say they want more rights, but who knows it could be like Egypt in the future where it actually gets more strict, but under Sunni rule.
  2. Yes, the conflict may be causing mass amounts of refugees, but in what war has there been no refugees?  Yes, countries like Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and other countries are having problems with refugees, but that is nothing new when it comes to war.  Those people are the ones that deserve to have food and aid.  On the other hand, the rebels are violent and once again we do not know if they will turn on us once they have won the war.
  3. Russia and China have valuable reasons for other countries not to invade into the Syrian conflict and they could pose big problems to the U.S. if we decide to invade.  Furthermore, Russian troops (minimal) are already on ground in Syria, helping President Assad gain control over Syria again. If we invade to help the rebels we will be fighting a proxy war with the Russian military.  That will make relations with the Russians even worse.  I guess we could use Syria as a means of getting back in China for causing that conflict with Japan, but still not wise to invade.
Once again are dear President and Congress is going to refuse to listen to the American people.  He refused to listen on the Healthcare Bill and now he is not going to listen to the American people again.  We should stay out of it all together and not make the decision to join a side.  Right now no one knows who is the lesser of two evils. In the end, it looks like Obama wants to support rebels who eat soldiers hearts to send a message.

Personal Prison

I believe that it is safe to assume that we all have a personal prison.  Think about the place that is a personal prison to you.  My personal prison is home.  it is my prison because people try to make me feel like I am obligated to take care of them. They get mad if I do not put them before my personal needs.  If I work during a time they need to go to work I get hell for it.  I get so sick and tired of it, but there is nothing I can do to get away at the moment.

At one point in my life I lived in New York and it was one of the best moments in my life because I did not have to be obligated to anyone, it was all about me.  Also people remembered me by my name and not as someones sister or friend.  It was an amazing time.

However, I should have stayed, but I left after one year. That is where I went back to my prison cell. Once again, I was known as someones sister or someones friend.  Once again, I am the little piece of shit that no one cares about and there are times when I think that if I was gone would they care about me?

Here in Arizona I am a nobody.  That is okay because one day I will leave this state and drop those that found me as insignificant.

Forever 21

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/16/forever-21-memo_n_3769605.html?utm_hp_ref=business

Alright so everyone is making a big deal about Forever 21. You know what people do have the right to be mad.  However, I am surprised that people are barely seeing that Forever 21 is not a good company.  They are the worst company for employment.  They do not give their employees decent hours nor do they see them as beneficial to the company.  Furthermore, Forever 21 is able to sell their clothing so cheap because they pay their employees crap.  I had a co-worker that used to work there and she hated it.  She saw many people quit that place in less than six months and she herself only lasted there eight months before she got another job.

I have never shopped at Forever 21 and I will never shop there.  If they cannot treat their employees right then they do not deserve my money.  I know that I am one insignificant human being not paying into that store, but I will stand up against them.

Mayor Bloomberg

So I decided to blog about the lovely Mayor Bloomberg. He is the poster-child for government trying to tell you how to live.  He banned trans-fat, attempted to ban large soda, and now he is trying to make New Yorkers take the stairs.

When I lived New York I did not mind going up a couple of flights of stairs to get to my destination. However, if you know anything about living in New York you know that walking is your life and you are usually walking pretty fast.  New Yorkers know all about the power walk to reach our destination.

However, I do not think that he has the right to force New Yorkers to take the stairs.  By the way, I do not think he has any room to talk because I am pretty sure he takes a car everywhere.  Furthermore, I am pretty sure if he had to choose between an escalator or the stairs he would pick the latter.

Lastly, I forgot to mention when the Sandy Hurricane came through he banned donations of cooked food to homeless shelters because the government could not test the salt content of the food.  He cared more about salt content than feeding the thousands of people that were displaced by the storm.

I believe that he just wants to control the lives of millions of New Yorkers through legislation.  He does not care about the people, he just is power hungry.  He wants to control all those that are around him regardless of the peoples opinion and he wants to make himself look good in the media.

I know that my blog jumped around a bit, but the point is government.  Government is not suppose to manage the lives of people.  Government is there to make sure that there is order.

Mayor Bloomberg wants to do more then keep order, he wants to control the lives of people.  He is nothing but a selfish idiot who only does this for power and the media. I hope that he does not run for President because he would try to control our lives down to our undergarments.

Big Government at its finest.

Why Does Everything Have to Involve Race in America?

This question is my topic for this blog and I am going to try to provide some answers for it in a simple way.

  1. We live in America that identifies people by race -- We have to learn to not say I am black, I am white, I am brown.  We need to change that because then maybe less people will turn it into a race issue
  2. Americans can turn a simple issue into a race issue--I love this one because the race card gets so easily pulled out.  We can turn just about anything into a race issue if it involves two people of different colors.  Except most of the time the real issue was never about the color of your skin.  There was a Democrat, I forget his name, he decided to rail against Conddoleezza Rice because she is a black Republican.  You choose your party not based on the color of your skin, you choose a party that is most aligned with your values.  That is not a race issue.
  3. Once again we live in America that has an issue of racism--like most nations they have all had this problem.  We Americans forget that this was recent past and we are still trying to get over it and make sure everything is equal.  This process takes time and it will continue to take time. Membership of the Ku KLux Klan is a perfect indicator things are changing and people are becoming more accepting.  They will soon be of no influence at all in the future.
  4. Once again America asks us to identify by race rather then just being American---This is a very important reason why we cannot get over the race problem because they still expect us to identify by color.  When
  5.  in truth we are all Americans.  We may have different ethnic backgrounds, different traditions, and different cultures, but we are all Americans.

Personally, I do not care about the color of anyone's skin because I believe that we are all Americans.  However, we need to start changing the way we think.  Furthermore, change does not occur right away, but it takes time.  President Obama he knows that change does not occur right away and he knows that it is going to take time.  Furthermore, when they pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964, I am pretty sure they knew they were still going to hear cases of discrimination because people do not change overnight.

Lastly, I am pretty sure you know why I am posting this on this day.  Well, its because I saw many posts on this Zimmerman case.  Here is my opinion, not taking race into account here.  The state of Florida failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt he committed murder.  Florida prosecutors failed to prove their case and that is the problem.  It is not the justice system, it was the state of Florida.

People say a black man has no justice, but I do know of several cases where a black man was acquitted of all his charges.  I have a friend that was acquitted.

Syrian Civil War

So I would like to cover this piece of news that I heard about 3 weeks ago in regards to the Syrian Civil War. A little background is necessary for those that may not know too much about the Syrian Civil War.  President Bashar al-Assad is fighting rebel forces and these rebels are demanding that he steps down as President. However, he is holding his own by fighting the rebels. The U.S. is supplying the rebels and Russia is supporting al- Assad.

The U.S. needs to stop supplying these rebels. This video shows a rebel taking out the heart and liver of the soldier and the video stops at the point when he begins to consume the heart and liver. The rebel is trying to send a message to al-Assad that he needs to step down and also he could be saying that this is what is going to happen to him.  Putin, not one for reason, has told the U.S. they need to stop helping these rebels. They are just as bad as the Syrian President and maybe even worse.
Here is the video:

Self-Centered People

Lately, I have not posted on this blog, but today I am feeling especially irked.  There are those that wish they could be the center of everyone's world and they expect you to run on their terms when they want you to.  They expect utter and complete devotion and expect you to put their needs in front of yours.

Furthermore, you sometimes feel overshadowed by them.  They only know who you are because of someone else they remember. Also they are the only ones that get the attention in a crowd because they purposely make it so they are the center of attention. They expect the whole world to know who they are and remember them.

I hate the feeling of being overshadowed. I feel like I need to move across the country in order to be my own person.  I hate the fact that I can never just have the spotlight on me just once and for a little bit. I normally do not like the spotlight, but it would help with this feeling of being overshadowed.

I am happy that I can express myself on this blog and that is why I am using it.  Self-Center people only care about themselves and no one else because no one else matters to them.  I think it is funny when a self-centered person asks me why I care about the other persons feelings.  Well, you should care about the people that you are around.

Principal Calls Off Honors Night

So I know it has been awhile since I posted.  However, school has been very busy and time consuming of late.

Today I saw this article on FOX news saying that this principal has called off Honors Night because it will devastate those that have worked hard, but did not succeed.  However, those programs are there to motivate students to work hard so they could get recognized because many individuals are motivated by competition.  Furthermore, we use these rewards to show children that if they try hard they will get rewarded for their efforts.

In our society and with the way education is now, we need all the motivational tools in order to help children and teenagers succeed.  One of the motivational tools is competition.

I have the link to the article above.
