Feeling Hopeless

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324439804578109492792634554.html?mod=WSJ_hps_LEFTTopStories

This article is about women's rights in Afghanistan and after reading this I feel so hopeless for the women there.  Karazi is working with the Taliban and the Taliban has been known for their radical way of viewing Islam.  The religious authority in Afghanistan have deemed it right for men to beat their wives if they are disobedient, this is not the way Islam works.  Never does the Prophet Mohammad say to beat them, he does say one single hit for disobedience. By the way, I am not supporting abuse, I am simply showing a brief point from the Qur'an.  The Taliban has a complete misconstruded version of the Qur'an just like some radical Christians do in regards to the Bible.

I feel bad for these women in Afghanistan and the Taliban is going to take over again if it has not already done so.  They are leaders of radical Islam, in which, in today's world is never going to win out.  Unless, they keep a tight grip on the people like they do in Iran.  I feel like the war in Afghanistan will be pointless in some regards, we did overthrow the Taliban and we did do destruction to Al-Qaeda, but the people seem to be only a little bit more free than 11 years ago.  What is going to happen to them in the future?  I guess we will find out.

The Election Goes to Obama, Now Back to Reality

So I am happy that the election is finally over and buisness will resume soon.  So he won the Electoral Vote and barely lost the popular vote.  I bet that this win is a good and bad thing for him.  Good that he won the reelection, but now he has to start listening to the people and working with the House Republicans and encouraging Senator Reid to work with the House.  He now knows that he has to work a little harder for Americans to see him as favorable.

One thing is that he has to stop playing the blame game, the blame game needs to stop.  He needs to stop blaming Bush and Republicans because everyone is to blame for the way things are, including himself.  Example, the budget was not passed because Reid refused to put it on the floor for discussion and vote.  Boehner and Obama worked together to try to work out some kind of agreement and they did, but Reid refused to cooperate.

Another issue is Iran, we have to decide to do something about them because the after January you can expect Israel to attack.  If Israel attacks and Iran upholds its promise to attack American bases an interests, we are going to be in a war, whether we like it or not.  He has to find some way to deal with them and stop the automatic cuts on defense which is going to harm the economy and hurt our ability to brace ourselves for war.

Japan and China, he better get some diplomatic talks going, so those two do not get into it.

However, the main issue is that we need to start uniting this country.  We need to get both sides to work together.  Otherwise, this country will be in the crap hole because we could not compromise.  I apologize for attacking Harry Reid so much, but if you want to know he has been very uncooperative. At least to some degree Obama is willing to work across the aisle in a limited fashion.

Divided Nation

So when I saw this I got so angry, but I did not get angry at the extreme left for this.  I got angry because people believe what the extremist are claiming in this post. You honestly believe that people will do such a thing? I do not think that the Republicans told Democrats that the vote is on Novemeber 7th, that is the most dumbest thing that I have heard in a long time.  They know that Americans will believe any propaganda if you shove it in their face or show young people who tend to be extremists, both sides do it.  We young people are the most impressionable people, most of us will not do research.  We believe everything that is told to us and we take it and run with it.  Most young people are the ones that think out of the box and calm down a little later, but there are the few that truly believe when they are older.  Bolshevik Revolution was done by young people, Mao Tse-Sung was young when he began the Communist Revolution and he led many young people with him.
We have to start questioning the things that are told to us especially young people.  The media manipulates us and tries to make them believe that they are the only ones that know everything, when they are only scratching the surface of the problem.  This problem comes from when we were kids, some want to teach us what to think, but not how to think.  They do not teach us how to question the facts or interpret the facts, that comes when we are in college.
Now let me conclude how this all relates to a divided nation.  The extremists of both parties are making the people more split, they have been working at it for awhile to divide the nation.  We need to start having a middle ground because the nation is too divided.  Romney and Obama are tied in the elections and this shows that the country is divided.  I know that I have posted about this before BUT COMPROMISE IS NECESSARY. Our Founding Fathers have warned that factions are going to hurt our nation.  Another quote is that America is not going to fall from an outside country, but from within.  This would be possible if we keep up the divisions, we need to start getting along!!!

COMPROMISE PEOPLE!!  START GETTING ALONG, OUR NATION IS FALLING APART!!!

Visitor vs. Tourist

So Friday on the 12 of October I arrived in to NYC. Once I got out of Penn Station I had this feeling that I never left and that I could go anywhere I want without any help at all.  I came back and I felt like I could just go anywhere because I still remembered where the subway lines went or what streets take me where.

Over these past couple of days I have been doing normal things like, I went shopping at Fishes Eddy, went to a few stores, went to church, and went to Starbucks to do homework.  I felt like I was doing things that I had did two years ago, but this time I did not permanently live in NYC and I was no longer a student at King's.

There is a small difference between tourist and visitor. When I came here as a tourist, I wanted to go to all the sites and see what made New York what it was.  However, this time all I wanted to do is hang out with my friends and go and do things we did when I lived here.

I am still in NYC right now till tomorrow.  I will be posting another post tomorrow or Wednesday!!

Abortion

Abortion, it seems to become an issue in every election.  Well, I am sick of it and truly I am sick of it.  I personally do not support abortion, but what gives me the right to tell someone what to do with their body.  If complications occur during or after the abortion, then that is something that they will have to temporarily live with or permanently live with for the rest of their lives.

I know that my Christian friends are going to hate me for saying this and claim that I am not a real Christian, but in reality it is not my right to tell them how they want to deal with their body.  Now if I get engaged in a debate about abortion I will let them know how I feel and I will let them explain to me how they feel about it.  However, I feel that the abortion argument is dead and we do have laws that would explain all the consequences and when it is not allowed to have an abortion and so forth.

I get so sick of it being brought up and I figure this that God will be the judge.  Americans need to understand that we are going to disagree and we live in a nation where we are allowed to have different view points.  If you can't live with that you picked the wrong nation to live in.  America is divided and both sides need to start making concessions or we are going to be in a stalemate.

Americans and American government leaders wake up and realize that both sides need to compromise.  We live in a nation where one side of the spectrum is going to win or lose all.  Start making compromises or the nation will deteriorate.

Anti-American Protests across the Middle East and Parts of Africa

I am not at all surprised at the amount of protesting happening across the Middle East and parts of Africa.  These are extremists and they do not represent the majority of the people in their nations (maybe a couple).  They are not going to stop and there is going to be no way to appease them.  Some of the governments are not going to help the US out and we should not expect them to.  The reason we should not expect them to is simple, its because they care more about the attacks on their religion then anything else.

A.M.Ahad/AP
However, I hate the fact that our Americans have to suffer abroad because of stupid Americans here, that made the video.  Do they realize the lives that are at stake?  I bet they are not protesting the embassies strictly because of that, I bet some of them are using it as an excuse so they could kill some Americans.  However, the point is that I am not surprised that this has happened.  We have embassies located in countries that one month support America and another month oppose America.

Another issue is Iranian protests against America.  Remember we have to take those protests with a grain of salt.  Those people are in a midst of turmoil themselves.  Iranian media only wants to show us the parts that they feel are fine.  The Iranians are upset with their government and are trying to find ways to protest and defy the government.  Ayatollah Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are doing a very fine job in suppressing them because they are worried that they will go into civil war like Syria.

I am appalled at the fact that Americans lives have been taken, but then again that is part of reality.  All I want to conclude with is that these protests are going to happen again and again. There are countries and groups of people that do not like America and the Americans inside and we have to learn to cope with that.  On the other hand, we cannot let them push us around and apologizing to them for us being Americans is not right.

Side note: Maybe the next time America decides to help a group against their government, we should have stipulations for after they win and establish a new government.  On the other hand, just not help.

Election 2012 and Post -Election

So I just realized that I have not posted on this blog since June.  I have been a bit preoccupied with work, school, and Iran.

This photo combo shows President Obama in Chapel Hill, N.C. on April 24, and Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on April 18, in Charlotte, N.C.
AP
I have decided that I am going to blog about this lovely thing called the Election of 2012.  Contenders Romney vs. Obama.  This election is extremely crucial because we will get an idea of how Americans feel about dear President Obama.  Also we will see how Romney is going to do in the election as well.  I think that both of the candidates have a lot of schmoozing to do to the American public.  They have to do a lot of schmoozing because the American people are upset and they are sick of the way things are going with the country (I talk as if I am an outsider).  I know that I am one unhappy American to some degree and I will let you know why in a minute.  Romney has to be able to persuade women, minorities, and to some degree religious minorities to vote for him.  Obama really just needs to let the people know that he is going to fulfill his promises if he is elected.

A part of me is pessimistic and believes that Obama will win, maybe not easily.  So you now see my bias and that is okay.  All I got to say that if Obama wins I hope that he will cooperate a little more with the opposing party and they do the same.  Romney, now if he gets elected I believe that he will have the ability to work with the Democrats.  I say this because people forget that he is a bit more liberal the most Republicans.  For instance, the healthcare bill that got passed for the nation actually used ideas from the one that he help make in Massachusetts.  He worked with the Democrats in his state and I believe that he could do it if he were to win.

Okay so now onto the other part of this post, Post-election.

So there are key issues that Obama or Romney are going to have to deal with.
Lovely Iran

This is important because Iran is getting pretty brave with this whole mining the strait and what not.  If they do mine the strait (which is international waters) that is considered an act of war, no matter what reason they do it for.  That means that the UN is going to have to do something about it or a coalition of countries are going to need to do something about it.

Lovely Israel

Now Israel, I think that they are going to attack Iran, but I still hope negotiations will work.  However, the thought of Iran with nukes or nuclear power is still risky.

The Economy

Yes that issue does still exist and it will for awhile.  The economy needs to pick up.  I am down for bringing jobs back to America, but remember things will be a bit more pricier because the objects are made in America.  So you better buy them or the jobs will go back to another country where there is cheap labor.

Issue of Polarization between the Conservatives an the Liberals

This is a big one because are wonderful Congress and the President need to work together.  Both sides need to understand that you are not going to get all that you want and the opposition is not going to let you get everything you want.  Think about life, you will never get everything you want, that is reality.  However, it is not just their fault for the lack of compromise.  It is the American public because they are divided so Congress is divided.  The American public needs to also learn that they are not going to get everything they want, a reality that needs to be recognized.  Politicians in Congress are so worried about getting re-elected that they do not want to compromise on the big issues and this is hurting America. Stop making politics a career, if you do not get re-elected then at least you will remember that you did your job and your constituents will see that the decision was a good or bad one in the future.

Compromise and a better economy is going to be key to sustaining this country.  Our dear Founding Fathers knew that factions were going to be a problem and it is a very big problem now.

I had a little fun with pics, there are a lot of battles.

Turning Point for the United States

The passage of the Health Care law is a turning point for the United States.  Many people will not believe what I am going to say will happen because for some reason some people are going to be blind to see the change occur. This is definitely a turning point because the Supreme Court has expanded the ability of the federal government to dictate our lives.  What I mean by this is that they have made the Elastic Clause in the Constitution stretch a bit farther and there is no going back unless the Supreme Court would decrease the stretch in which that will never happen.  The Elastic Clause allows the Congress to have more rights to carry out the powers that they were given.  Granted those laws have benefited us in certain ways and has definitely hurt us.

The expansion of the Elastic Clause means that the government could do more to inhibit our freedoms.  Now of course a majority of Americans do not think about the Constitution or the Founders instead they think of the things they want from the federal government.  The federal government should do this for me and this.  Conservatives and Liberals both attempt to pass laws to limit what Americans do (I would show examples, but I just woke up, I will edit the blog later).  I do not know when Americans are going to wake up, the Founders would not want this wonderful country going the way it is.  The Founders intended the states to take care of its people, the federal government should have gave the states more money through a Block Grant to expand health care.  Yes, it is still the federal government, but the state government is way better at managing things like health care then the government because there is too much red tape in the federal government.  Health Care should be handled by the states because they are smaller and more manageable.  That is why "to some extent" it did work in Europe (I am really stretching with that example because the situation in Europe is bad not enough productivity and too many unnecessary benefits (Spain has 14 holiday weekends that start on weekdays and cities have their own holidays, at least one city is celebrating a holiday every week).

All I am saying is that we as Americans have to think about our freedoms and the Constitution.  Yes, there are things that I have benefited from the federal government, the federal government has done some really good things.  However, we have to be wary of what they are doing and make sure that they adhere to the Constitution.

American's Version of "Socialism"

I do not even know how to begin, I sat here for a bit trying to find out how to write this post.  That first sentence was the best way to start it haha.  Well, states and cities are now attempting to ban soft drinks in Massachusetts restaurants and New York City banned large soft drinks.  This is America's version of Socialism, right here.  Since America technically cannot become Socialistic the states and cities are going to do it themselves.  America cannot become socialistic because of the Constitution. Although are lovely federal government is attempting to tell us how to go about getting health insurance, charging if you did not get health insurance.  Also instituting a text ban across the nation, that is clearly the states obligation.  American government and the smaller governments want to dictate are lives, they want to force people to be the kind of normal that is seen in America.  You have to be a size 2 in order to be normal, you have to dress a certain to be normal, you have to get surgery if you want to look perfect, you have to be someone with a perfect record, you have to be someone that has never done anything wrong, and you just have to be like everyone else.  To me that is past Socialism and little bit towards Communism.

Pretty soon states and cities will ban everything that seen as unhealthy, that includes everything, ban books that talk about things are not normal and might hurt someones innocent, attempt to ban alcohol again, and ban other things.  The government fails to acknowledge the Constitution.  The state governments and cities think that they can dictate the way Americans do things, but let me tell you something Americans always have a way of sidestepping those laws and regulations.  You think that you are going to curb obesity by banning products, your wrong.  It is not going to curb it because people that are not obese are not going to be happy and we are Americans.  Americans will make sure that career politicians get out office and elect people that are not going act like dictators.

American Socialism was already to predicted to occur, it might not be so prevalent in the federal system, but it is in the states.  The states and cities do not realize that these bans that they have placed are actually violating federal laws because it is messing with commerce that occurs over state lines.  A mayor in California try to ban the use corn syrup in California a few years ago and the law got struck down by a federal court because it affected commerce interstate, in which it violates federal law. When New York and Massachusetts are sued that will lose in court

Westboro Baptist Church

Westboro Baptist Church is one of the most evil churches to have exist and the most evil people go to that church.  They are hateful and spiteful people.  They claim that they are Christians, but they are not real Christians they are people that hate on gays , people that do not dress appropriately, they hate soldiers, and they hate America.  If some of you do not who they are they are the people that won the right to protest at a soldiers funeral, but cities have been making sure that they are kept at a distance.  They protest at a funeral to show that they died for a worthless America that supports homosexuals behaviors, attitudes, and actions.  They hate America for accepting homosexuals into society.  They call themselves Christians, but they are not because God would have never wanted us to hate on people like that.  The New Testament tells us to accept everyone and love our neighbors.  These people clearly have stuck to the Old Testament and have not read the new one.  Of course this is not a perfect world and we are all sinners, but these people are sick.  If they could I probably bet they would harm all the gay people and create a genocide out of it.  I think that if they were bigger and armed they would get just as bad as the Ku Klux Klan.  Thank goodness that we have a government that will prevent these people becoming a Hitler,  a Stalin, a Saddem Hussein, or a President Al-Saad because I think that they will kill everyone that is gay or does not follow the Bible, in which would be pretty much everyone.

Honestly, I think that people need to protest them and I am down to go to TOpeka, Kansas and protest against them.  I would like to show up to a funeral that they are protesting at and counter their protest.  Raising American flags in their face.

You know what I think is kind ironic is the fact that they are protesting at a soldiers funeral, soldiers that fight to preserve this nation and fight to keep our rights.  The soldiers fight for their right to protest, keep any other nation from harming us.

No one is going to make them change or change their minds, but we could show them that there is a strong opposition against them.  America is not going to change and the Christians are slowly going to accept that there are homosexuals.  The hardliners are going to be the only ones to constantly not accept this reality.

This world is not perfect  and as Christians we are going to have to accept that reality.  We are all sinners, this world is never going to be perfe someone trying to dominate another country or group of people.

Parents and the Government Part of the Problem with Education in America

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/18/us-mayors-back-parents-_n_1604975.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003

The summary of this article is that the parents are taking back the schools.  Mayors and city councils are supporting laws and passing laws that make it possible for parents to override the school boards in their school districts. The parents now have the ability to fire teachers and do what they want with the schools like make them a private institution.   My problem with this education system is that some parents are to blame for the way things are going as well as the government. These mayors have the nerve to support these new laws, but they are not going to there state government or to the federal government to handle these problems.  They are the ones that need to take responsibility for the mess that the schools are in and the parents need to take more responsibility for not making their kids increasingly responsible for their grades (talking mainly high school with this comment).  The parents are responsible to encourage and help their children get good grades and to focus on their education.  They should punish for bad grades (not talking beating the crap out of them or anything like that).  People are so quick to blame teachers, but in reality it is a combination of all three. I am not trying to make an argument that all teachers are good teachers, there are a few that are terrible teachers.

However, I think that everyone is responsible for the school systems failing.  The federal government does not focus enough on education.  They should focus on education because then you are going to have a surplus of workers for  minimal wage or for specialized areas in the future.  We need to encourage students to go to school and to do better than what is expected of them.  They need to be taught by parents, teachers, and the government that school is important, they need to be encouraged.  On the other hand, this is not a perfect world so there is always going to be people that are going to drop out, government officials that do not care, and teachers that are bad teachers.

The government needs to focus on math and science programs so that we can get Americans into the fields.  However, that may not happen because employers can pay foreigners less than they can with Americans.  Americans can still fight for a better educational system, but please stop putting all the blame on teachers, school boards, and the administration because it is not solely there fault.  The parents need to make there children learn what responsibility and take responsibility if they have bad grades and if they think the teacher purposely gave them bad grades then they need to go to the school administration or the school board.  For example, when I was in school I felt like my PreCalculus teacher was not teaching me correctly and I went to the school administration to take me out of the class and to make a formal complaint. In the end, he was gone sometime within the year.

Finally we are not going to have any real changes done unless we elect those that may have gone to a public school or put their kids in the public school system.  Everyone in Washington  Brother HL-2240 Laser Printer

Nanny State: People Predicted this Would Happen

http://www.ijreview.com/2012/06/7550-18-crazy-examples-america-is-turning-into-a-nanny-state/

America the Nanny State Welcomes You.  We get to tell you what to eat, how to dress, how to spend your money, and get to control your personal life.  That is how America is turning out to be and I am not surprised at all.  Political Scientists have predicted that this would happen.  This all began with The Great Depression when states and the American people really needed the help of the federal government.  However, the states are getting a bit out of control with the the whole lets control what every American does in their lives.  The government makes its seem like they do not have bigger problems then telling someone to not feed the homeless and have a special team come into people's homes to get expired milk.

Why does the government not focus on improving the school systems rather than worrying about what a kid brings to school for lunch, in which that is the parents right to pack whatever the heck they want into their child's lunch. You are so worried about Americans having Bible Studies in their own homes that you forget to tell teachers and leaders to stress moral values to bring down the crime rates.

Minnesota is worried about muddy vehicles when they should continue to stress the extreme importance of not driving while intoxicated and drive the correct way.

Finally, the government is so worried about what the heck we say on the internet because it protects us.  I understand that you want to keep us safe, but we have the right to say what we want and when we want as long as it does not incite violence or is hate speech.

Word to the government, which you are likely viewing this.  Read up on the Constitution and look at the ways that you are violating it.  The 14 Amendment made the Bill of Rights applicable in any state and you clearly violate them on a daily basis. Read the Founding Fathers books, letters and articles to understand how they wanted America to be.  Many may think they are already in ashes and this is modern America, however they valued our liberty and happiness more than anything.  They fought a revolution so that we can say what we want and go as high as we want to in this country and my government is not going to prevent me from going as high as I want to g.  I think that government is necessary and I am thankful that the government has helped me to get through my life and what not, but there is such a thing as too much government interference.

I thank the Founding Fathers for giving me the freedom to say what I want and do what I want as long as I do not hurt others.  I feel that government is necessary.  On the other hand, I am American and I will fight to protect my liberty and be able to keep my individuality.

Taliban Cracks Me Up at the Moment

 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/22/afghanistan-war-taliban-p_n_1537224.html

A quote from the article:
"Nobody can trust their statements and lies," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in an e-mail to the media on Tuesday, a day after the two-day summit closed in Chicago. "They are claiming that everything is fine in Afghanistan, which is far from the reality."

Before I get to the quote that I have took from the article, I will summarize the article. The article is about the slow withdrawal of NATO forces in Afghanistan.  NATO will have the troops no longer operating in combat mode after 2014, but will be training the military and operating there.  Pakistan and Afghanistan is happy that NATO will continue to try to stabilize the country and prevent another Taliban and Al-Qaeda take over and not do a rush job of leaving Afghanistan to fend for itself.  Iran is the only one that is weary because they do not want the US and NATO forces to be leaving a big military in the middle east and I think that they are scared that the US might attempt to invade Iran or support Israel if  a war was to happen.

So back to the lovely quote from the Taliban. The Taliban to me it seems like they are questioning why NATO has decided to leave.  Now would they not want NATO to leave so they can take over the country.  NATO is in the country because of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, they are the problem.  NATO was used to invade Afghanistan because one of the terrorists organizations decided to attack the US and according to the alliance they had to invade to stop the Taliban.  Taliban and Al-Qaeda were in control of the government after the Soviets left and then when the US and NATO forces came into the country they lost control of Afghanistan.

The reason things are unstable is because an international terrorist organization was running Afghanistan and NATO forces came in and splintered the terrorist groups.

I think it is funny that he thinks the country is unstable and things are not all right and there is no reason for NATO troops to leave, but you are the one that is attacking the Afghan military and government preventing NATO from leaving. IF things are so unstable then work on a peace deal with the Afghan government

Homosexuals

I am honestly really sick about hearing people complaining about gay rights.  Homosexuals have been around for centuries and now they are being publicly accepted into society (for the most part).  So stop being surprised at the fact that they want more rights and that they want the same rights as a married couple. Obviously, the issue is never going to go away it is going to be another Roe v. Wade, the decision has been made yet there is still argument.  There is nothing that we can do to change the decisions that have been made.  Yes gay rights have not been decided on, but I am not going to be surprised if they Supreme Court were to rule them to have the same rights because if they allowed abortion to stand, what is going to stop them from preventing people to get married.  Yes, the Supreme Court is conservative, but that does not mean that they will not look at the Constitution and allow them to have those rights.

All I am saying is that eventually they will get the rights that they want and desire.  So we are going to have to learn to accept the changes.  I am a Christian, but this is one of those issues that we will not be able to stop from coming to a reality.  I think that they do deserve the benefits of a married couple, but maybe it should be called a Civil Union and make it mandatory that other states acknowledge the union like it demands them in the Constitution.  Get rid of DOMA.

Gay Marriage

The dear politicians today think that gay marriage is a key issue during this election.  So lets talk about it.  I think that my fellow Christians need to recognize that in this day in age homosexuals are more open about their sexuality because there is greater acceptance.  There are churches and synagogues that appeal directly to homosexuals.  I think that as a whole Christians are going to have to get over the fact that there are going to be homosexuals and they are going to want to have the same privileges of getting married or have the same the rights as a married couple (civil union).  Even my own grandparents and my grandpa is a pastor suggested that civil unions and benefits should be given to them.  My sect of Christianity has been more open than other sects.

Personally, I do not feel all to happy about gay marriage and I PERSONALLY do not support it. However, I am not going to get all stressed out if it passes nor join the protests against it because it is not my place to tell someone who they can get married to.  They could go do what they want and be who they want to be, so let them.  God tell us to love everyone for who they are and in the New Testament having faith in God is very important and if you have faith in Him you will go to heaven. If homosexuals would go to hell for being gay than I would go to hell for swearing or drinking too much on nights that I go out.

So my personal belief is that gay marriage is wrong, but who am I to tell someone who should they should marry.

Also gay marriage is not something for the federal government to decide, maybe it is the states decision to decide.  Who knows the Supreme Court decided in the social issue of abortion and porn so eventually they will make a decision on gay marriage.  The federal government taking on social issues is a totally different issue.

New Blog: Dedicated to Iran

I have decided that it is time for a new blog and it is going to be dedicated to the current affairs in Iran.  I have decided to do it because I am highly interested in that country and the current politics of Iran.  I think that it is important for Americans to pay attention to what happens in Iran because they are important to global politics.  They could affect everything in the world and most Americans will not pay attention to that. Ahmadinejad is a tyrant and he deserves to go down before he kills anymore people and also Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I am not saying that America should do something, but it is good to pay attention to what happens because it could affect the middle east. I do not vote on doing anything to Iran because we need to focus on our problems first and then worry about the world.  The best thing that are country leaders can do is publicly disapprove of what is going in Iran as well as Syria. Iran has the second highest arrest rates of journalists, they clearly do not want the world to know what they are doing to their people.

So this current blog is still going to be current, but my new one is going to be dedicated to Iran!

Republican Party is for the Rich Only

I recently heard this statement made and I think that it is a very wrong statement. The party is not for the rich only because there are plenty of people that are not rich and they are part of the Republican party. There are plenty of rich people that are part of the Democratic party. Did you know that Obama got much of his campaign money from business associations? Business leaders do not always go with the Republican Party. Labor Unions do not always donate to the Democrats, in fact they do donate to Republicans too.

The reason why people join certain parties is because that party is closer in ideology with them. The party agrees with their ideology, maybe not all the time, but most of the time. So I think that people need to really think about what they say. Democrats have rich people in it too. Poor people are part of the Republican party as well, just not a lot.

Valley Metro

So lately I have been on facebook ranting and raving about Valley Metro. Valley Metro is the bus system in the state of Arizona (for all of my readers abroad and that are not local) I think that they are taking advantage of the people in Arizona. They think that they can just raise prices and cut bus routes short knowing that many of the Metro-Phoenix citizens (they are not the majority) are not going to have a way to work or school. I have to rely on this inefficient bus system to get to school and work. I cannot afford a car so I need to take the bus.

Another group of people that they are taking advantage of is the bus workers. The working conditions suck, the benefits suck, and the wages suck. GET IT TOGETHER!! So not only is the system inefficient and expensive right now, the bus workers are going on strike. I had to find alternate transportation for work this weekend and possibly for this school week if they do not get it together. This is truly a no win situation for Arizonans because after a deal gets made between the union and Valley Metro they plan on cutting bus routes and raising the fare to ride the bus. Honestly there are three solutions to this ordeal:

  1. Arizona takes full ownership of Valley Metro and makes the bus system efficient and work with the unions
  2. The federal government or car companies find a way to make cars more affordable to Arizonans
  3. Another company begins competing for riders against the Valley Metro system

We need a solution and fast because everyone in Phoenix and Surrounding areas are going to be affected. It is going to affect Arizonans from the bottom to the top.

If they do decide to up the prices and decrease the efficiency of the program I will boycott Valley Metro and hope that there profits go down low. Hope that they will suffer and they will change their ways. This will effect people trying to go to work, but hopefully this will change something in the system and make it right!! I am so sick of this, I will attempt to hold a boycott against this company and hope for some change

Syrian Violence

Syria is in turmoil. Thousands of people are opposing President Bashar al-Assad. Less than a thousand have died (Syria will not be completely honest about it). However, I want to say that the United States should do something about it or other nations. There is a problem and it is AL-Qaeda and the Jordianian Muslim Brotherhood. They support the uprising and that is bad because we are have an issue with Al-Qaeda, right now I do not know of the relation with the Muslim Brotherhood (might not be good because of Egypt). Anyways, Al-Qaeda totally supports the sectarian violence in Syria. That surprises me because they have not been the most humane or freedom of choice kind of type. I believe that the US should do something, but i do not know what it is yet. They need to see why Al-Qaeda supports it, what are the benefits for them.

Syria's president needs to begin making compromises because pretty soon a powerful nation might just invade and do something about his tactics against his people. He shouldn't even be called a president, he should be called a dictator.

Message: Russia and China you have a terrible history with using violence on your people to get them to shut up. Of course you support Syria and you will do it. You do not want a tribunal to be held against President al-Assad because people would begin to question the methods both of you have used in the past. You do not make your country look any better by opposing any sort of resolution to deal with this issue.

I guess the US might have to try to see if it can be solved diplomatically through peace talks, but who knows if that is going to work.

Iran

For a few years I have been saying that Iran is going to get in some kind of trouble with their energy development. President Bush even knew that there was an issue with them developing nuclear energy because we do not know what are their real reasons for development. They could be developing nuclear weapons or they could be using it for energy purposes. We will not know until they let inspectors in and they do want even to do that. If they are so afraid of inspectors, it does make you question their motives.

On the other hand, Israel is using this to attack Iran in which they have always wanted to and now they have a window of opportunity. Israel now wants to start airstrikes on the site where this so-called "energy development" is going on. Israel has been wanting to go after Iran for awhile and I am not surprised by them taking this opportunity to strike. Iran has made threats at Israel in the past, but they both have been making threats. It is a war that was bound to happen and now the time has come from them to duke it out.

United States will not participate unless Iran decides to mine the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. needs to send sweepers in. Also another possibility is if Iran begins to attack Israel and they end up going on the defensive then we might have some obligation to assist depending on the treaty standards.

We will see what happens, but I honestly believe Israel will attack.

France Passed the Law Dealing with the Armenian Genocide

Let me say this Turkey needs to own up to what they have done a century ago. However, my interpretation of this comes from my perspective. Here in America if we made it a crime to deny anything that the government wants us to accept it would be deemed unconstitutional. France is different then America and they do not have the same protections as we do. On the other hand, France did direct this legislation towards Turkey and now they are going to be hurt by the sanctions that are going to be put into place and the other sanctions that will come into play in the future. Turkey needs to acknowledge that what they did was wrong.

France passed a law making it a crime to deny the Armenian Genocide. If you do then you are to spend up to a year in jail and pay 45,000 fine. That figure I did not convert to Euros. That is more then getting caught drunk driving.

You know I knew that this was going to happen that they would pass the law. However, this goes against everything the French have stood for in recent years. They passed the Declaration of Human Rights in the UN. There they protect freedom of speech in the declaration. They are violating the rights of free speech by not allowing anyone that believes it did not happen. Some are never going to believe. Many people still think the Holocaust did not happen even though their are thousands of documents that prove it had happened. Example, President Ahmadinejad of Iran he does not believe it happened.

I do think that Turkey needs to stop denying it. However, I think that they choose to forget about it because they see it as a terrible time in history. They choose to forget, they just do not want to deal with it. I think it is partially because many of them were given the stolen goods of the Armenians when they were deported from their towns. I think they feel that the earlier generations of the whole society was responsible and they just do not want to deal with it.

I do think that they need to own up to it. On the other hand, France needs to stop thinking that they are better then everyone because they have plenty of history where they killed massive amounts of people. For instance, in the French Revolution, they executed many of the aristocrats. They also led a war against the Protestants and the Protestants led a war too. The Crusades were pretty bad to, they had their own jihad against people of the Islamic Faith.

France is not totally innocent nor is the United States. I am not a representative of the US and I am not arguing for the US. I am just an individual who thinks that France has got some nerve to place judgment and forgo the freedom of speech just so they can make a statement. By making this law you are likely going to inhibit recognition and you are going to make it bad for the Armenians again. You are not making it any easier on both sides of the issue.

Another thing, France where were you when the genocide happened? You had the opportunity to help the Armenians, but you chose to ignore it. You could have invaded the Ottoman Empire and helped the Armenians. You could have influenced trials to be held and make them stick when it came time to deal with Turkey after the end of the war. The only country that really tried to help was England. You could have helped, but you ignored it just like the United States did. You could have told Turkey that part of their defeat was that they will have to punish those that hurt the Armenians.

You did nothing before, why are you trying to now? Do you feel that you are responsible for the Genocide because you did nothing before?

Iranian Journalists

http://en.irangreenvoice.com/article/2011/dec/20/3422

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jan/18/three-iranian-journalists-arrested

http://en.irangreenvoice.com/article/2011/aug/18/3245

I do not think that the Iran will ever stop arresting its journalists in the country. Goodness they are cracking down on freedom of the press in the country. Usually it is to stop people from broadcasting all the evil that is happening in the country. They keep arresting people, that is what happens in an authoritarian government.

They love to suppress the people because if they know that it gets out what they are doing to the people then they will need to be held accountable. In Iran they torture people and whip people in the jails. I think that something needs to be done about Iran. The people can leave the country if they want, but sometimes it is hard to get out of the country. Especially, if they want to keep watch of you to make sure that you do not try to get them in international trouble.

Most of the journalists that get arrested is because they are reformists and/or they are speaking out against the atrocities of the police and the government.

I pray that the people continue to battle it out with the government and they do not give up. The articles that I have provided you state what is going on in Iran right now. They arrest the most journalists in the world. They are trying to crackdown on journalists because of speaking out against the government. Also they are arresting human rights lawyers. They usually defend the journalists in कोर्ट

Joe Paterno and the Westboro Baptist Church

So the Westboro Baptist Church has decided that they are going to picket his funeral. It is there right to do what they want and say what they want. They say that he is going to hell for the child molestation and abuse that he has committed against those little boys. How do you know that he is going to hell? What if he believes in God and has asked God to forgive him for the crimes that he has committed? What gives you the right to predict his damnation? He is to be judged by God and only God.

The church that I go to is to love people for who they are and accept them for who they are. I may not agree that homosexuality is the right way to live, but that is what I believe. I have plenty of friends that are homosexuals, if they want to do what they want to do that is fine.

Joe Paterno was wrong for what he did, but I will let God be the judge of him. I think that the pastor and the whole church community should look at themselves before judging others. Even my statement is a contradiction because I know that I judge others too I try not to, but we all do it either voluntarily or involuntarily.

I think that Westboro is a little bit on the extreme.

Occupy the Courts?

So you now want to occupy the courts?

Well they are occupying the courts because the Supreme Court allowed companies to donate to political campaigns. However, did you know that companies donate to both Democrats and Republicans? Did you know that labor unions still donate to the Republican campaigns too? If you take a Government class and few more politics you will see that. My professor showed us statistics on PACs that donated to both Republicans and Democrats and it showed that they like to donate to both even when they are running against one another.

Americans forget that there two sides to the story. Corporations if they donate are going to likely donate to both types of candidates. This is the problem with America they think that everything is one sided. Labor unions when they form PACs, they do donate to both sides.

Not everything is black and white as people would like to think. There is plenty of gray when it comes to campaign contributions.

Armenian Genocide

The people that killed the Turkish-Armenian Journalist trial info: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16632890

Frances Bill to make it illegal to deny the genocide ever occurred: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16407046

So the Armenian Genocide has been popping up over the news lately. Honestly, France and Turkey both need to cut it out.

1. The Armenian Genocide did happen, so stop denying it Turkey. Talaat Pasha even admitted that he was doing and he did not deny it. The only ones that were denying it was the Germans because that was their ally during World War I. Turkey you need to own up that it did happen, there is plenty of evidence. Obviously, the generations that are alive now cannot be punished for a crime that their forefathers committed.

2. France you helped draft the UN Human Rights and with this law you are going to violate the very thing that you help create. How in the world do you think that you are justified to make it illegal to deny the genocide. Their is always going to be people that do not believe that the genocide ever happen. You are denying their free speech and you are wrong for that. I am happy that Turkey has got relations to you, why are you continuing to try and punish those that do not believe it happen.

I think that both sides are coming at the Armenian Genocide wrong. Turkey needs to own up to it and France needs to not violate the right to free speech. I think that we need to remember the past so that we do not repeat acts of genocide. However, do not try to punish the current population for what occurred a century ago.

Nigeria

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-16330093

Like I said I was going to do I am going to talk about Nigeria. I know that it has been about a month since the Christian church bombings. However, I have something to say.

The Christians got attacked on Christmas day and a number of people did die during those blasts. Then the Christians retaliated by bombing an Islamic school.

I think that both sides are wrong for trying to hurt one another over their religious beliefs. No one should attack a church or a school, it is wrong for both sides. They should not try to harm one another. Definitely Christians should not do it because God would never want us to hurt one another like that. I know that every religion and one point in time has killed many people in the name of God. For instance, The Crusades.

I know the world is not perfect, but Jesus would never have wanted us to try to kill one another.

By the way, I acknowledge that there is not going to be complete peace on this earth and there is always going to someone killing another, I know that. However, you can try to better the world, but perfection will not be achieved.
